Taking a picture and get themes of colors that match a picked color is priceless

I love the option of seeing the colors, but the photo colors are off. I took a picture of a couple of their own color samples and they came up with completely different colors when I asked the app to match them. I tried several different lighting sources- sunlight, bright room lights, indirect light, etc. Of course, I expected it to match them to the correct color. I was just testing it to see how accurate it was. It never matched.

I love the app but I REALLY needs to have the "import photo" option to also select colors from.

Two stars because the idea is great. Unfortunately, I also have an iPhone 4s, and like another reviewer mentioned, the photograph changes color when you click "use photo." It suddenly becomes much more yellow/brown. My blue, blue walls with gray undertones became almost beige in the app (but not in the original photo). Wish it worked! Maybe with a different phone?

I have used this app to choose colors for 3 rooms in my house. Each time Ive been very happy with the color suggestions. I simply took a picture of the bedspreads and shower curtain and then chose colors! I went to the store and I was able to bring home swatches and choose a few similar colors. I have been very happy with this app!

I took a photo of a multi-colored carpet and was able to tap on any color in that carpet and get a matching paint color, and suggestions for different color palettes to match the paint color. This app is exactly what I was looking for!

Im a professional painter , for over 27 years. I thought Id try this for accuracy on a solid Ben Moore color in my own house . Tried many different surfaces ( the color is Persimmon ) - never came up as a choice . Fail.

Love this app. I go crazy snapping pics even places I am not painting! So you can get sidetracked. LOL I GAVE 4 bc I would like more options for choosing what is what color. Ie. an accent wall for all rooms, color cabinets/accents. You only get wall, trim and ceiling. Otherwise I love the favorite heart tap and ability to have separate folders for projects, and the 3 or 4 palettes they suggest. Get it youll love it! PLUS FREE IS AWESOME!!

I was trying to match a color on my bedroom wall. It was way off in color choices. Not helpful for trying to match paint colors.

Better than piles of paint chips. Color capture is great idea but sometimes image seems inaccurate. An option on all screens to Navigate back to favorites would be great

To find paint colors for all rooms, based on fabric of curtains or purchased fabric for same. Need to develop a mechanism to identify colors near the shades offered, or a way to store projects. Like it so far, thanks Benjamin Moore!

Very useful. Old iOS 6 interface but it doesnt matter.

I like the idea of the app. When I wanted to repaint my room it was very helpful. However, everything gets darker when I input it to the app. I also feel it needs an update. Everything is from before iOS 5. Its very annoying and restarts randomly.

Do not trust this app to match anything you need thats critical. Its not really the apps fault, theres just no way to control lighting good enough to get a good sample. Not even sure why Benjamin Moore would do this to themselves? Might be OK to give you a general idea of a color but even that can be way off.
